How to Choose an Event Venue

How Do You Choose an Event Venue?

Fix your guest count, budget and date first, then compare venues on the all-in price for your head count (rental, food and drink minimums, service charge, tax), capacity for your layout, hours included, what is provided (tables, chairs, AV), outside-vendor rules, parking and accessibility. Tour at the same time of day as your event and get every promise in the contract.

Two venues with the same rental fee can end up hundreds or thousands of dollars apart once food minimums, service charges, rentals and overtime are added. Compare the all-in price for your guest count, not the headline price.
